Forsa Energy Acquires Ready-to-Build Solar Development in North Yorkshire, England.

Forsa Energy today announced the acquisition of the ready-to-build (RtB) Wormald Green Solar Farm project located in North Yorkshire, with an installed capacity of 59.3MWp.

The site, developed by Harmony Energy, is a late-stage development expected to reach financial close and enter construction in Q4 2026, with commercial operations targeted for Q4 2027. Once operational, the project is expected to generate approximately 57GWh of clean electricity annually.

Forsa’s acquisition of the project reflects the continued growth strategy set out with our shareholder Tiger Infrastructure Partners of expanding our renewable generation portfolio, to complement our existing 298MW reserve gas generation portfolio and in-house O&M team. This transaction alongside our recent wind acquisitions represents c. 86MW and evidences the progress being made towards delivering our strategy.

Stephen Milloy added: "This transaction marks the first solar ready-to-build project to enter Forsa’s near-term construction pipeline and represents an important milestone in the company’s growth strategy. Together with the wind assets acquisition completed earlier this year, the project supports Forsa’s ongoing efforts to expand and diversify its generation portfolio. We look forward to working with local stakeholders and contractors as the project progresses and would like to thank Harmony Energy for its collaboration and support throughout the process."

Forsa Energy was advised on this transaction Locogen, BDO and Shepherd & Wedderburn.

About Forsa Energy

Forsa Energy ("Forsa") was established in 2011 to develop, construct, own and operate energy assets across Europe. Prior to September 2017, the business operated through Velocita Energy Developments and 2020 Renewables, developing and constructing approximately 230 MW of onshore wind projects across the UK and France.

Following the successful sale of those businesses, the company made a strategic decision to broaden its technology base beyond onshore wind and rebranded as Forsa Energy. Forsa's flexible generation business was established in 2017 to meet the growing demand for reliable and flexible generation capacity to support the electricity system. The initial focus was on reserve gas generation using reciprocating engine technology. In 2020, Tiger Infrastructure Partners acquired Forsa Energy and has since supported the growth of the business. The UK team has since successfully developed, financed and constructed twelve operational sites, totalling approximately 298 MW.

Forsa is now entering the next phase of its evolution as an independent power producer, adding onshore wind and solar generation to its existing portfolio of flexible gas assets. Portfolio optimisation is supported by Forsa's in-house power trading team, which manages both company-owned generation and third-party assets. Complementing this capability, Forsa's in-house operations and maintenance team provides services across both owned and third-party assets, creating a fully integrated platform spanning development, ownership, operation and optimisation.
